Abstract
This article discusses the concept of the new Web Development and Web Development (Code Optimized) profiles option that allows a developer to optionally configure Visual Studio 2010 to run in an IDE layout mode. This mode hides the WYSIWYG web designer and instead uses a rich source-editing-focused tooling experience. He provides a comparison of Web Development Profiles with screenshots of both Web Development Profile and Web Development (Code Optimized) Profiles including the technique of mixing and matching features.
