Abstract
In this article, Scott provides a detailed overview of the new features of Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) 4.0, particularly in the areas of Controls, XAML, Text, Graphics, Windows 7 integration (multitouch, taskbar integration, etc), Core Fundamentals, and Deployment. You will also learn the usage of the MultiTouch features included with Windows 7 in WPF applications. Scott also examines the data binding support, Visual State Manager, HTML-XBAP Script Interop, UIAutomation Virtualization and SynchronizedInput Pattern including a side-by-side comparison of the enhancements in client profile in .NET 4.0 as compared to .NET 3.5. Scott finishes the article with a reference regarding Full Trust XBAP Deployment.
