Introduction

Providing support quickly and effectively is essential to the success of any business. Even though there are many other solutions available on the web, .netLIVEHELP enables you to integrate live chat functionality into your website very easily. In addition, you pay a one time software licensing fee per domain for unlimited operators which are much more affordable than service based solutions like BoldChat or LivePerson.

A fully functional trial version of the product can be downloaded from the vendor’s website in ZIP format. The distribution contains the required files for deploying the application: an asp.net based server deployment and a desktop console application for interacting with the clients and the documentation. The trial version works for some time for you to test the system and after that you need to activate the product with the relevant license file supplied by the vendor.

The files inside web directory are the core of the product and should be uploaded to the root directory of your website. Once you properly setup the product the next step is to initiate a chat session by entering the required credentials by executing the console application and entering the URL without default.aspx. You should make sure to provide appropriate permission to the database folder in order to work with the product and for this purpose you need to contact your hosting provider if you do not have access to remote server or a control panel which does not provide a functionality to provide write permission for a specific folder.
