Introduction

Having worked with .NET Remoting for a while, I would like to describe an issue I encountered while working with Client Activated Objects (CAO's) hosted in IIS.

This article describes how you can avoid a matching instance of a class in every remote object to ensure it only has one instance and to provide a global point of access to it.
